The Government Office for Technology Transfer (GOTT) helps accelerate the government’s innovations towards the market to impact growth and deliver new products and services for citizens. For this public sector branding project, Amy needed to rework the GOTT brand into a distinctive, accessible and adaptable brand that represented the dynamic and innovative work GOTT does and its authority in the space.

Government Office for Technology Transfer: Brand Refresh

The project

To begin, Amy undertook a deep dive audit into what was and was not working with the current visual brand. There needed to be an evolution from confusing and overly abstract graphic assets, whilst maintaining GOTT's general look and feel, as it is recognisable within the space. The result is a dynamic and easy-to-use visual brand with eight main graphic assets representing the same core concepts as previous; collaboration, movement and data. These graphic assets were created by deconstructing the previous visuals and reconstructing them in a much simpler and more impactful way, maintaining accessibility standards and the spirit of the last visual brand.
